Enriching communities through the thoughtful, artful, and resourceful design of outdoor space is my passion, and environmental stewardship is my imperative. Every project is significant, whether it is a small pocket garden, a large master plan, a path, a home, or a habitat. I value collaboration, effective communication, reliability, and strive to exceed expectations while working as a team to help clients synthesize and realize their project goals.
A stormwater pipe replacement project created an opportunity to design a large bioswale for the City of Greeley and its residents. Roughly 8,000 square feet, the bioswale serves as a learning tool and an amenity. A low water planting design with informational signage demonstrates how to plant a water-wise landscape, the function of a bioswale, and the importance of water conservation in our arid climate.
This project was designed for Russell+Mills for the City of Greeley and was installed in the spring/summer 2017

Developed the design for a new 4,877 sq. ft. outdoor courtyard from schematic design through design development. The courtyard connects new and existing buildings and serves as a focal point for residents and visitors. Space includes water features, a memorial area, intimate and large group gathering spaces, outdoor fireplace, and special attention given to specimen planting and year round beauty in the garden. The conceptual design was hand drawn with ink and colored pencil.

The Children's Rooftop Garden provides a healing place of peace for patients, families, and visitors. My role on the project was to devise the plant list and planting design, bringing beauty and the sights and sounds of nature in the garden closer to hospital patients and visitors.

Created two conceptual master plans with alternative circulation and grading considerations. Special attention was given to entry onto the site, the sequence of experiences and pleasurable way finding throughout the cemetery. The natural arid climate of Gillette paired with the client's desire to conserve water informed the design.
